COMMUNICATIONS MANAGER

Responsible for the day-to-day operation of the Police Department E-911 Communication Center that dispatches Police, Fire, EMS, Rural Fire, and Sheriff units to emergency situations. Maintains records, handles citizen calls, operate within established budget.
Associate's Degree or four to five years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience in public safety.
Residency Requirement: Must have residency within a distance of City Hall to allow you to reach City Hall within 20 minutes under typical driving conditions.

Salary: $22.00 per hour shift differential.

DISPATCHER

High school education or G.E.D. and six to twelve months related experience or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Residency Requirement: Must have residency within a distance of City Hall to allow you to reach City Hall within 20 minutes under typical driving conditions.

Salary: $17.03 per hour plus shift differential.

PATROL OFFICER

Protect the lives, safety, and property of persons within the city limits. Primary assignment will be as security at Mt. San Rafael Hospital.
Graduation from Colorado P.O.S.T. approved Police Academy is preferred, but not required.
Residency Requirement: Officers must have residency within a distance of City Hall to allow you to reach City Hall within 20 minutes under typical driving conditions.

Salary: $19.57 per hour plus shift differential.

QUALIFIED INTERPRETER

The City of Trinidad is seeking a Qualified Interpreter, as defined by 28 C.F.R. § 35.104 (sign language and oral interpreter) to provide 24/7 interpretive services for its Police Department should the need arise.  An annual retainer fee and hourly rate for services performed will be negotiated with the qualified party.  Qualified persons should submit a letter of interest and provide supporting documentation to illustrate qualifications to the City Clerk’s Office, 135 N.
